Upload: 2nd Draft Priority Theme Recommendation
The secretariat is pleased to announce the upload of the 2nd Draft Recommendations of each Priority Theme.
APWF will combine 2nd Draft Recommendations of each Priority Theme and Key Result Area into a draft "Policy Brief 2007" to be reported by APWF at 1st Asia-Pacifc Water Summit.
APWF Working Group meeting on draft Policy Brief will be held in Kuala Lumpur on the occasion of the Southeast Asia Water Forum(Oct 21-25). APWF will finalize Policy Brief 2007 by November 16th

Let’s discuss for making the policy recommendation to be announced in the 1st Asia-Pacific Water Summit (1st Draft Outline of Policy Recommendation)
The lead organizations of the Asia-Pacific Water Forum (APWF) are currently preparing the policy recommendation which will be announced in the 1st Asia-Pacific Water Summit, considering the discussions submitted to the Weblog (comments, opinions, suggestions, good practice, etc.).
Reflecting on the discussions in the 2nd APWF Governing Council Meeting on July 12-13, the 1st draft outline of the policy recommendation was submitted to the Governing Council member and is available on the APWF Weblog (as below).

- Theme B : Water-related Disaster Management
- Theme C : Water for Development & Ecosystems

Drafting Schedule of Recommendation
(Recommendation must be within 5pages. Annex could be attached if it is more than 5pages.)
- Draft outline of recommendation (content and brief description of what should be contained in each item) is to be uploaded on the APWF website by May 7th
- Comments on draft outline will be collected by Water Weblog until June 30th
- Preliminary draft Recommendation is to be presented at the 2nd GC meeting (July 12-13th)
- The first draft Recommendation is to be distributed at 2nd SC (August 6th) and uploaded on the website (also e-mailed to GC member in charge of each theme)
- Comments on the first draft Recommendation will be collected by Water Weblog until September 30th
- The 2nd draft Recommendation is to be uploaded on the APWF website by October 12th (also e-mailed to GC member in charge of each theme)
- Working Group meeting on draft Recommendation will be held in Kuala Lumpur on the occasion of the South-east Asia Water Forum(October 22-26)
- Final draft recommendation is to be submitted to GC members by November 16th
*To ensure participation of water stakeholder in drafting process each deadline must be kept strictly.
