Strong and appealing messages should be delivered to urge and encourage heads of states and leaders to take prompt actions and to implement projects for effective and holistic water-related disasters reduction in their respective countries and the Asia-Pacific region as a whole. The APWF’s partners as well as professional experts and scientists in the field of disaster risk management are invited and urged to post their contributions for the formulation of a synthesis document of key messages that shall including policy recommendations and validated measures to reduce loss of life and livelihood from water-related disaster. Policy recommendations if proposed shall also include discussion on the need to adopt the recommended policy and its potential impact, the institutional need to adopt the policy, and monitoring the impact effectiveness of the policy.
